 Vase Fountain Set of Three. This week I will share a discussion I had with a customer from North Carolina, he wanted a vase fountain that would be seen from a golf course about 100 yards away. He also had a very large red umbrella at the back of his house on a patio. He sent me a few pictures so I could better understand what he was looking for. He liked the Venetian Vase Fountains on our site, he thought one large one would work to be seen. I simply told him to have someone stand there while he walked out to the green. Then look back to see how well you could see the person standing there. He was able to determine that one would not be large enough just from this simple little trick. He opted to go with the set of three vase fountains. The width of the three will make it a lot easier to see. Plus we choose our deep red vase fountain to match his red umbrella. That deep red color really stands out and matches the umbrella perfectly. We also added the interior light to each vase and uplighting as well. This will make the vase fountains a beacon.  This is a before picture, after picture coming soon This week we took an order for a custom design water feature. A new restaurant wedding event venue is opening in Martinsburg WV. They contacted us a couple weeks ago to talk to us about designing a custom water feature, they sent us a few pictures and we discussed different options. Since the room is kind of dark for their evening events and they want it to remain low light to give it a romantic feel we decided on three brightly lit vase urn fountains. Each will be spaced about 15 feet apart with interior lights and uplighting. We are also adding fire glass on the grate system instead of rocks, we will be putting a bright light inside the fountain basin shining up through the fire glass, that will give the fire glass a nice warm glow. This will give the room a stunning focal point with the reflective motion of the water plus the soft sound of flowing water. Romance is in the air!
 This weeks water feature question came to us from Florida. We have a customer that ordered one of our basalt bird bath fountains. During the conversation she mentioned she had a very old urn made by her Grandfather. She wanted to repurpose it to be used as a fountain. She sent me the measurements and a few more pictures and we were able to send her the needed items to make this family heirloom into a urn fountain. We have done this many times.  This weeks water feature question is from Missouri. Installing a large disappearing fountain system.  This weeks question comes from Minnesota. The question was should you wait for spring to install your water feature? Winter can be a great time to enjoy your outdoor fountain and water feature. Your fountain brings beauty & movement at a time of year when the rest of the garden is drab. Plus the birds will appreciate running water to drink since most water will be frozen. Once the water freezes at night with lighting your garden fountain will be the most spectacular landscape in the neighborhood. The basalt column fountain pictured at left has lighting in the top to light up the plume of water and up lighting all the way around. It glows at night. This week we had a question from Canada about our fire fountains. The question was about CSA Certification. CSA certification applies to the burners. Although we make up our burner systems using top quality materials they have not been certified by CSA. We do perform a leak test on all burners before shipping. We recommend performing another test on your end. If you want a CSA certified burner just let us know. We will be glad to use a certified burner in your fire pit or fire fountain.
