Quality of our pot fountains

This weeks fountain question is from San Diego CA. We had a caller that had been to a local garden center to look for pot fountains. He found some Mexican urns and wanted to know if they would hold up as disappearing fountains. We decided to make a video giving some hints about selecting quality pottery fountains. (video at right) Not all pots can be made into a fountain. Especially if you are in an area of the country where you have freezing temps. The video does a better job of explaining this than I can put into print. He said the mexican ones were a little cheaper, but you know the old saying you get what you pay for. The urn fountain pictured here has been running for over 10 years, winter, spring, summer & fall. A picture speaks a thousand words.
